Privacy
Last updated 21 October 2026
Ceylon Chic ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information we collect through ceylonchic.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and, where it applies to you, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join our waitlist.
- Basic sign-up details, such as when and where on the site you signed up.
- Browsing information collected automatically by cookies and similar technology: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and how you arrived at the site.
We don't ask for payment details, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Why we collect it
- To send you news about Ceylon Chic and Drop 01, including when it's available.
- To understand how people use the site so we can make it better.
- To measure and improve our advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
We only email you because you asked us to. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave the list any time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the site and our emails:
- Kit (email platform), which stores the waitlist and sends our emails.
- Meta (Meta Pixel), which helps us measure visits and sign-ups from our ads.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the website.
These providers may store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We use reputable providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to Australian law. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies
We use cookies for the Meta Pixel and for the site to work properly. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. The site still works without them.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you're on our list. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you and delete or anonymise your details within a reasonable time, unless we need to keep them by law.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), or to your local data protection authority if you live in the EU or UK.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, but we only use services with strong security.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
